In 2001 we had an opportunity through Vorticity Music to open for Vinnie Colliuta and Bill Evens at the Tivoli Thearte in Brisbane Australia. We had 3 weeks to create a fusion show for this gig. Todd, Damian and myself went into creation mode and came up with a 6 song opening act. The gig was a wonderful success and we went on to record the Total Non Sense album. The album was recorded in a house on the Gold Coast. Talented producer Rick Hollis and a 2 inch multi track tape machine and a Pro Tools suite and we set out to recorded the band. The album took about three weeks to track, working in and around everyone's busy day to day schedules. The best part of this recording for me was tracking with Damian in one room of the house while Todd was set up in another. Tracking a fusion album without seeing the drummer was a fun challenge.
